Zakaria said that India’s unprovoked firing and shelling on the Line of Control (LoC) and the Working Boundary to divert attention from the human rights violations in Indian-held Kashmir (IHK).
Not only that, he further said, New Delhi has been busy after the extra-judicial killing of a young Kashmiri leader, BurhanMuzaffarWani, on July 8 with the subsequent blatant human rights violations – in which at least 150 people have been killed, thousands visually impaired, over 16,000 wounded and at least 7,000 arrested.
The spokesperson maintained that the Indian forces had violated the LoC and working boundary at least 300 times – in 2016only.
