ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that the committee to probe into news leaks matter will be constituted under a retired High Court judge till Monday.
Addressing the media on Saturday he said that the controversial news issue is a national security matter. It is not a child’s play. Investigations to establish facts are a must, so that those behind the false news could be identified.
He said that inquiry committee was not being constituted against Pervez Rashid but it was being formed to find facts about the news item. Intelligence agencies’ officers will also be members of this committee.
“No one will be able to raise fingers on the integrity, honesty and sincerity of the officers at committee,” he said.
He stated that inquiry committee would be provided an opportunity to work in free, fair and transparent atmosphere so that those behind the news item could be identified.
