MUZAFFARABAD – Pakistan Muslims League-N (PML-N) secured a landslide victory over rivals Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as they won 33 out of the 41 seats for Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly.
Muslim Conference (MC) stood second with three seats. Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) could win only two seats each, whereas Jammu Kashmir People’s Party (JKPP) secured just one seat.
After all the results were revealed, PTI Chairman Imran Khan congratulated PML-N on his Twitter account
Even though traditionally party in power in Islamabad tends to win AJK elections, I would still like to congratulate PMLN for its AJK win.

He also congratulated the PTI candidates in another tweet.

After the results were disclosed a spokesperson for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said the latter will arrive in Muzaffarabad on Friday to thank Kashmiris for extending their support to his party in the polls.
