KARACHI. A woman was wounded when unidentified armed gangsters hurled a hand grenade in a troubled Lyari neighbourhood on Tuesday.
Police officials said that at least two armed men riding a motorcycle threw a hand grenade near Afshani buildi
ng in the Kalakot area of Lyari, injuring a passerby.
The injured, Nisa Bibi, was shifted to Civil Hospital in
Karachi for med
ical treatment where doctors termed her condition out of danger.

he area where the incident occurred is a stronghold area of the Lyari’s kingpin Uzair Baloch who is imprisoned in Central Jail,
Karachi after he was arrested by Rangers last year.
A suspicious briefcase was found from the National Oil Trading Shop near Preedy police station, said a BDS expert
. He added that experts checked it but did not find any explosive material.
